Are you slow to rise or “up and at ’em”? Personally, I’ve gone through fluctuations on waking up in the morning. There was a time, many years in fact, where I would just wake up whenever I needed to. I didn’t need an alarm – wait – I didn’t RELY on an alarm clock. My internal alarm clock was incredibly reliable and, at times, I still rely on it.
Then, I started to use an alarm clock – just because I had one on my iPhone and thought, what a nice feature. It would go off, I’d stop it, and get up. No need for snooze.
More often, I would wake up a few minutes before the alarm went on and would turn the alarm clock off before it even turned on! (This is the norm for me!)
Bad Habits are hard to break. And I’ll lately I’ve been hitting the Snooze button and hitting it again, and again.

Well… don’t hit Snooze.
Seriously – if you hit the Snooze button you are literally losing 9 – 10 minutes of time every day. Your day has just gotten shorter!
If you hit the Snooze button 2 times that’s 20 minutes of your day lost.
In one year you will have lost 7300 minutes of your life. That’s approximately 5 days lost out of your year all because you hit the snooze button.
What could you do with 5 extra days in a year?
Probably a whole lot – things that you didn’t realize you can actually fit into your day but your bad habit excuse is: “I don’t have time” or “I’m too busy”.

I don’t have time or I’m too busy really means: I DON’T WANT TO PUT IN THE EFFORT
I look at every person who says they don’t have time or they are too busy and know that if we dig down deep – what they are really saying, I don’t want to put in the effort to do whatever they say they are too busy or don’t have time to do.
But for now – start with changing that bad habit of hitting snooze. Wake up – seize the day – and take advantage of the time you actually have instead of making excuses about it.
